[11/29/19 3:10 p.m.] CLERMONT, Florida — The Florida Highway Patrol has released the names of the pair killed in a crash Thanksgiving night.

The deadly crash occurred at 7:10 p.m. near the intersection of County Road 474 and Yancey Road. Juan Melendez-Cruz, 51, of Kissimmee was driving a 2007 Honda Accord when he lost control, left the roadway and overturned, according to a press release. The Accord rolled over on its right side and the roof struck a tree, also killing a passenger, Kristi Cruz, 42, of Groveland. Melendez-Cruz and Cruz were not wearing their seatbelts.

A 15-year-old boy was treated for minor injuries and released.  The crash remains under investigation.
