EUSTIS, Florida — The Florida Highway Patrol has released the name of the woman killed in a crash Tuesday involving a dump truck.
Shortly after noon Tuesday, Chantal Jones, 57, of Eustis was driving a 2009 Toyota Camry northbound on Cardinal Lane approaching State Road 44 when she attempted to make a left turn onto State Road 44, said FHP Lt. Kim Montes. Jones traveled into the path of a dump truck being driven by Shawn Reid, 40, of Sanford. The dump truck struck the left side of the Camry and Jones was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
