MOUNT DORA, FL — Publisher’s Note: After careful consideration, Lake Legal News has decided to release an audio and written transcript of the fact-gathering meeting LLN ‘s Editor-in-Chief, Marilyn M. Aciego, had on July 29 with Mount Dora city officials, following the recent firing of Mount Dora Police Deputy Chief Michael Fewless. City Manager Robin Hayes, Mayor Cathy Hoechst and Public Information Officer Lisa McDonald were at the interview in person with Aciego; city attorney Sherry Sutphen appeared by phone.
This contentious interview is being provided in its entirety for several reasons, including Hoechst having accused Aciego of “twist[ing] the words the way you want.”
