PAISLEY, Florida — A woman who refused a deputy’s commands to drop a bush hook axe and an ice pick is facing three felonies, according to an arrest affidavit.
Shorty after 8 a.m. Friday, a Lake County Sheriff’s deputy responded to Veva Avenue in Paisley on a report of a verbal altercation involving a weapon. The deputy met with the complainant, who told him Rosalyn Rose Della More, 33, came to his residence holding a bush hook axe and argued with him about tools she wanted. The victim said Della More threw trash around his yard and abruptly left, according to the affidavit.
The deputy began looking for Della Rose and found her standing in the front yard of a home on a nearby street, holding the bush hook axe in one hand and an ice pick in her other hand. The deputy ordered Della More at gunpoint, to drop the weapons and she refused. She began walking down Wilma Avenue, refusing to drop the weapons and screamed at the deputy to shoot her, the affidavit states.
The deputy transitioned from his firearm to his taser and again told Della More to drop the weapons. She dropped the ice pick, and then suddenly picked it back up and reportedly approached the deputy with both weapons. The deputy shocked Della More with his taser and she fell to the ground and released the weapons. She was charged with armed trespass, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer and battery on a law enforcement officer. Those charges have a total bond of $12,000. She is also being held on no bond for two violations of probation stemming from a felony battery case in 2019.
