PAISLEY, Florida — A Paisley man is facing a domestic violence charge after a woman told Lake County Sheriff’s deputies he put her in a choke-hold just days after holding a knife to her throat for refusing to participate in a Ouija board session.
The victim told deputies that during the course of a verbal argument, Kenneth Alan Olson, 49, of Paisley grabbed her by the throat and applied pressure to the area just behind her Adam’s apple, according to an arrest affidavit. She told deputies she had no difficulty breathing, and deputies noted a red mark on her neck, consistent with a thumb or finger. The woman also told deputies a juvenile had witnessed the altercation, according to the affidavit.
The woman was asked if there was a history of domestic violence and she told them Olson, who is wheelchair-bound, held a knife to her throat and threatened to slice it when she refused to participate in a recent Ouija board session. Deputies interviewed a witness to the Ouija board incident and he told them he observed Olson and the victim in “an intense argument” and was sent to the store by Olson. He said when he returned from the store, the pair was not fighting, but it appeared “something” happened.
Olson was questioned by deputies and he denied touching the woman. He later recanted that story and said he choked her during sexual intercourse three days earlier. A deputy informed Olson the wound was fresh and he changed his story again, and said it occurred Monday night.
Olson was charged with domestic battery and is being held at the Lake County Jail on $7,000 bond.
